One question tells you if you need CliqSales or your own GoHighLevel

Some pay hundreds a month for an agency floor they never open. Others run clients on a license too small for it. A fair guide to picking right the first time.

What you’ll take away

You’re torn between the cheaper, Czech CliqSales and your own GoHighLevel license, and you don’t know which price list is actually for you. In a few minutes of reading, you’ll have one question that settles the choice. And you’ll avoid the costly migration that follows when you pick wrong the first time.

  • I’ll show you the one question that tells you whether you belong in CliqSales or on your own GoHighLevel license.
  • You’ll get an overview of what each path costs and what you actually get for the money.
  • You’ll see two typical mistakes that cost people thousands for nothing with this choice.
  • You’ll learn what both paths have in common, so no hidden catch surprises you on either one.

You’ve got ten tabs open in your browser. One has GoHighLevel with its pricing in dollars, another has CliqSales (the Czech white-label version of GoHighLevel) with its pricing in Czech koruna. Add two reviews and a thread in a Facebook group where one person says “just buy it straight from the Americans” and another warns that without Czech you’ll be in over your head. It looks like the same software sold twice. You only need to pay for one, but you don’t know which.

I see this hesitation every week. I know both GoHighLevel and CliqSales from hands-on work: I used to be a project manager and AI manager at CliqSales, and I also help businesses that run on their own license. So I can see into both camps, and one question keeps coming back to me:

“Honza, wouldn’t it be cheaper to just get it straight from the Americans?”

Meme labeled “The decision curve”: calm figures stand at both ends of a bell curve saying “I’ll grab CliqSales and get going.”, while in the middle a desperate person clutches their head over having to go through “40 features, tiers, the dollar rate”. Below is the punchline: “Both ends of the curve choose correctly right away. In the middle, you get lost comparing prices instead of asking the question.”

But asked that way, the question has no answer. GoHighLevel and CliqSales are one technology sold in two different models, not two competing products you can line up in a table. What you’re really choosing is the floor you’ll live on.

A house with two floors

Meme labeled “One house, two floors”: a cross-section of a house, with an agency control room upstairs labeled “Upper floor, your own GHL license” and individual company offices downstairs labeled “Lower floor, CliqSales sub-account”. Below: “Same technology, same house. You’re only choosing which floor to live on.”

GoHighLevel is built like a two-story house. Upstairs sits the agency: it pays for the license, handles billing and the infrastructure for email and SMS, and takes care of support. Downstairs are the sub-accounts, the separate workspaces of individual businesses. Each one has its own CRM, funnels, automations, and calendars, and a wall separates it from the neighbors: a contact in one sub-account is never visible in another.

Sub-account

One business’s separate workspace inside GoHighLevel: its own CRM, funnels, calendars, and contacts. A wall separates it from neighboring sub-accounts: whatever is in one, the other never sees. In CliqSales, you get one such space under someone else’s roof; on your own license, you create as many as you want.

CliqSales is the Czech white-label version of GoHighLevel: an agency on the upper floor that localized the platform into Czech and sells it under its own brand. When you buy a license for CZK 1,990 (about €80) a month excluding VAT, you get a sub-account under its roof. Someone else runs the upper floor for you. When you buy a license directly from GoHighLevel, you are the upper floor, with everything that comes with it.

CliqSales or your own GoHighLevel license?

CliqSales

Lower floor: a sub-account under someone else’s roof.

For 1–3 businesses of your own, in Czech, CZK 1,990 (about €80)/mo excl. VAT.

Someone else runs the upper agency floor.

VS

Your own license

Upper floor: you create sub-accounts for clients.

For managing other people’s accounts, from $297/mo.

Your domain, your brand, recurring revenue.

Forget software versus software. It’s one technology sold on two floors.

And I see both mistakes. A business owner who followed a foreign tutorial, bought the $497-a-month agency plan, and paid for an admin control room without ever looking inside. And a capable agency that crammed all its clients into a single sub-account for just under CZK 2,000 (about €80) a month, then had to keep watch by hand so contacts and campaigns didn’t get mixed up. Both decided by the price tag. The decision should come down to a single question: whose business will run in that system?

Meme as two cards headed “Two costly mistakes”: mistake 1, “Bought an agency plan for $497 a month… and never even set foot upstairs.”, tagged “Times used: 0”; mistake 2, “Crammed every client into one sub-account… then manually kept them from mixing.”, tagged “Contacts and campaigns at risk”. Below them, in muted text, “Both decided by the price tag.”, and in a green box tagged “Right choice”, the big line “Decide by one question: whose business will run on it?”

One-minute self-test

Count how many different businesses will run in your system. Are they all your own projects? Then you stay on the lower floor. Is there even a single outside client among them whose marketing you build and run? That moves you one floor up, and it also changes what you should buy.

One to three businesses of your own: CliqSales

If only your own things will run in the system (one business, or even two or three: an online store, consulting, and weekend courses on the side), you belong on the lower floor. CliqSales was built exactly for you.

Two-part meme: on the left, a desperate man clutches his head over a laptop with a pile of open windows, under the label “Ten tabs” and the line “CRM here, email there, calendar elsewhere, invoicing in the tenth tab.”; on the right, the same man sits contentedly in front of one clear window, under the label “One window” and the line “One platform brings all of it together in one window.”
  • For CZK 1,990 a month excluding VAT, one license gets you CRM, funnels, email marketing, automations, booking calendars, forms, communities, and online courses. Communities alone would cost extra elsewhere; Skool charges $99 for each group.
  • The sore spots for Czech users are solved: a translated booking widget, ready-made connections to Fakturoid and FAPI (two Czech invoicing tools; GoHighLevel’s native invoices are unusable for Czech accounting), plus Czech-language support and video tutorials.
  • You don’t deal with the upper floor: CliqSales handles the dollar billing and the email and SMS infrastructure, and you just top up credit for the messages and AI you actually use.
  • Two or three businesses each get their own separate sub-account, so your contacts and campaigns never get mixed up.
  • And you won’t lose your data: you can download your contacts to a CSV anytime.

What you get in CliqSales for CZK 1,990 excluding VAT

  • CRM, funnels, email marketing, and automations in one license.
  • Booking calendars, forms, communities, and online courses.
  • A translated booking widget and connections to Fakturoid and FAPI.
  • Czech-language support and video tutorials.
  • Your data stays yours: download your contacts to a CSV anytime.
You don’t deal with the upper floor: CliqSales runs the dollar billing and the infrastructure. Communities alone would cost extra elsewhere (Skool charges $99 per group).

To be fair, I’ll also tell you where this path ends: you’ll never turn CliqSales into an agency headquarters. You won’t be creating sub-accounts for outside clients in it, and the SaaS Configurator, which you use to build your own pricing plans, lives one floor up, out of reach for a CliqSales customer. For one to three businesses of your own, that’s no loss; you won’t hit the ceiling anyway. Only someone who wants to manage other people’s accounts will feel the limit. And that person belongs in the next section.

Meme labeled “The floor nobody lives on”: a lonely man holding a sheet of paper stands in the middle of an empty agency control room full of consoles, with the caption “Even people who’ll never create a client sub-account buy an agency license. Paying for years for an upper floor you never walk into is the one wrong choice.”

Managing client accounts: your own license

As soon as you want to move other people’s businesses into the system, meaning clients whose marketing you build and run, you need your own license directly from GoHighLevel. At that point, you’re buying a business model rather than a tool.

PlanPrice / monthWhat you get on top
Unlimited$297Unlimited sub-accounts and rebilling of operating costs to clients with no markup.
Agency Pro$497SaaS Mode: up to 20 custom pricing plans, rebilling usage with a markup (say, 2.5×), and reports on recurring revenue and client churn.

You’ll find an exact breakdown of both plans and the extra costs in my article on GoHighLevel pricing and plans. On your own license, your whole relationship with the client changes too:

  • Clients log in on your domain, see your logo and colors, and think of the platform as your software; the GoHighLevel brand disappears from it.
  • Snapshots work as templates for entire accounts: you set up a new client in 5 to 15 minutes instead of long hours of clicking, and you can push a bulk change to hundreds of accounts at once.

Snapshot

A template of an entire account: funnels, automations, campaigns, and settings all at once. You prepare a model sub-account once, then use a snapshot to deploy it for a new client in a few minutes instead of hours of clicking. And you can push the same change to hundreds of accounts at once.

This is the way off the merry-go-round of one-off projects and toward income that comes back to the agency every month: the client pays for the system their entire marketing runs on, not for a website you handed over once. And if the upper floor appeals to you and you just don’t know how to get it going, that’s exactly what I help agencies with, from sub-account structure to pricing plans. Hand part of the clicking over to AI, and you can set up a new client account in a single afternoon.

A number that speaks for itself

Setting up a new client account by hand swallows long hours of clicking. A snapshot deploys it in 5 to 15 minutes. That one difference turns your own license into a client machine. It’s also equipment you’ll never switch on if you only run one business of your own.

Meme styled as a card statement for the past year: Agency Pro at $497 a month, $5,964 over twelve months, 0 client sub-accounts created, 0% upper floor usage, a stamp reading “Paid for a floor nobody lives on”, and the punchline “There’s only one wrong choice: paying for years for a floor you never move into.”

What both floors have in common

Before you decide, it helps to know what’s the same on both paths. The platform’s interface is in English; CliqSales softens that with translated widgets and Czech know-how, while on your own license you’re on your own with the English. The data sits in US data centers (Google Cloud and AWS), and transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. And next to the license, both paths come with a usage wallet in dollars: SMS, email, and AI are billed by actual use.

And for the record: technically, CliqSales is also an agency on GoHighLevel, just one floor above you. That’s why it can give you everything from the lower floor and nothing from the upper one.

Three myths around this choice

It’s simply cheaper from the Americans.
What decides is whose business will run in the system, not the license price. Only yours → CliqSales; clients’ too → your own license.
They’re two competing platforms.
It’s one technology in two models. You’re choosing the floor you’ll live on, not the software.
If I leave, I’ll lose my data.
No. You can download your contacts to a CSV anytime, whether you’re in CliqSales or on your own license.
Both answers are right, depending on the situation. Only one choice is wrong: paying for years for a floor you never move into.

The whole system in a nutshell

One question that settles the choice

Decision tree: will only my business run in the system? Yes, one to three businesses of my own, leads to CliqSales at CZK 1,990 a month excluding VAT. No, my clients’ businesses will run there too, leads to my own GoHighLevel license from $297 a month. Will only my business run in it? YES NO CliqSales 1–3 businesses of your own CZK 1,990 excl. VAT / mo Own GHL license clients’ businesses too from $297 / mo
You don’t need a comparison table, just an answer to this question.
  1. Ask yourself: will only my business run in the system, or my clients’ businesses too?
  2. Only mine (even two or three)? You belong on the lower floor, where CliqSales at CZK 1,990 a month excluding VAT is enough.
  3. Clients’ too? You need the upper floor. Buy your own license directly from GoHighLevel.
  4. On your own license, pick a plan: Unlimited to start, Agency Pro once you want to rebill usage to clients with a markup.
  5. Either way, budget for a usage wallet in dollars (SMS, email, AI) on top of the license.
Meme labeled “One question decides for you”: a man in a suit stands thoughtfully at a signpost with a question mark over his head, above the line “Don’t compare price lists. Ask: whose business will run in that system?” and the answer that CliqSales is enough for your own businesses, while client businesses need your own license.

Now you can close those ten tabs. You don’t need a comparison table; just answer the question from the beginning: will only my business run in the system, or my clients’ businesses too? If it’s only yours, CliqSales is plenty, and you can forget about the upper floor. If your clients’ businesses will run there too, your own license gives you a floor you can build a business on. I’ve worked with both paths, so I’m not pushing either one on you. There’s only one wrong choice: paying for years for a floor you never move into.

Prices in this article are current as of these dates: GoHighLevel plans (Unlimited at $297 and Agency Pro at $497 a month) as of September 30, 2026; the CliqSales license (CZK 1,990 a month excluding VAT) as of August 2026; and Skool’s price ($99 a month per group) as of May 2026.

FAQ

Is CliqSales cheaper than buying GoHighLevel directly?

It depends on whose business will run in the system, not on what the license costs. For one to three businesses of your own, CliqSales at CZK 1,990 (about €80) a month excluding VAT works out better. Once you manage other people’s clients, your own license pays off, even though it costs more in dollars.

When is CliqSales enough for me?

When only your own things will run in the system, even two or three businesses. You get CRM, funnels, email marketing, automations, calendars, and courses in one license, and someone else runs the upper agency floor for you.

When do I need my own GoHighLevel license?

The moment you want to move other people’s businesses into the system, meaning clients whose marketing you build and run. You can’t do that in CliqSales, because creating sub-accounts for outside clients lives one floor up.

Can I get my data out of CliqSales if I want to leave?

Yes. You can download your contacts to a CSV anytime, so you won’t lose your data. That’s true whether you’re in CliqSales or on your own license.
